(More customer reviews)This is my all-time favorite yarn.It is a true pleasure to knit with--very strong, yet smooth and somewhat stretchy, so it tends to hold the stitch very well.I have made many hats with this yarn--it is nice and soft.In fact, many recipients mistake it for cotton.Compared to other 100% merino yarns, it has no rivals.The finish on this yarn is unique.The fibers are very long, and almost "twisted" into the strand, so there is no scratchiness.I can't find it locally at the moment, and so I bought some other yarn for a hat, and I have been so disappointed with it.Finally, this yarn does not pill at all.And, it is superwash, so it can be washed in cold water, which makes it ideal for children's items.I typically knit this with a number 7 (US) needle.
